Summer has really flown by. Work has gone really well, I like my coworkers, I'm learning all about how to function in an office environment. Not to mention, it's pretty cool working at the Pentagon. It's really humbling to know I work with so many people who've committed themselves to their country. Especially considering the prestige of the place, it's humbling to see a bunch of school children being given a tour of my office building. Even more so that people are willing to stand out in the rain outside of the metro station to protest what we do, clearly the building means a lot. It's especially humbling on Memorial Day to reflect back on those people who died in the same spot of the building where I'll casually play with PowerPoint and daydream about not being at work.
However, work's coming to an end and in a few weeks I'll be embarking on this experience. To be honest, it hasn't really become real to me yet and I'll comment more on it later on. I just wanted to make this thing and get the whole blogging thing started.
